Is there ever a True Blood episode where Tara's life is not the worst? I ask because YO SHOW WRITERS WHY CAN'T TARA HAVE NICE THINGS.
+ Can Sookie just stop associating with Bill and Eric? Because everything about her turns terrible when she is near them. Rage eyed at her so hard when she brushed off Tara's trauma because Beeeeel is so important (seriously wtf was that two wrongs don't make a right comment, HE LEFT HER TO DIE WHY IS TARA EVEN FRIENDS WITH YOU)
+ People told me HBO is socially progressive television and they lied. So far I've seen the Game of Thrones pilot and two and half seasons of True Blood and they have come with just as much racism and sexism as any show I've seen off cable. Also the vampire minorities metaphor is kind of bullshit when the show has so much difficulty treating any of its actual minority characters well.
+ Someone tell me the Sophie-Ann-Eric power turnaround thing is all part of a ~massive plan~ on Sophie-Ann's part because otherwise it is just dumb. At this point I basically tolerate this show's vampires on a purely aesthetic level and since Sophie Ann is hotter and has not spent substantial amounts of time on screen torturing Lafayette (FUUUUUUUUUUUUU) I want her to win all the vampire politics.
+ Also speaking of Lafayette the way the show never allows him or Tara to have any sustained happiness is getting really old. I mean I thought Vampire Diaries had a race problem but at least Bonnie never got trapped into an abusive relationship with a vampire right after the man she loved was shot. (I guess Damon/Bonnie could theoretically happen but I actually do trust the writers enough to see why that would be a terrible terrible idea)
+ Unexpected side-effects: this show is making me fonder of Damon Salvatore. He isn't Bill Compton! Damon does stuff to make me hate him but he doesn't bore me to death 90% of the time so there's a plus.
+ Tara/Alcide should happen. They would be hot and Alcide hasn't made me want to punch him yet.
+ Also Tommy/Jessica. I shipped from the minute he told her she could totally do better than Hoyt. YES YOU CAN and look, there's a reasonably attractive shifter boy your own age to try that out with!
+ Uhh idk idk. I don't even like this show, it's Stockholm Syndromed me into watching it. Cannot understand the fandom appeal. Maybe there are secret good versions of the episodes I am just missing?
