TVD 2.11: By The Light Of The Moon

+ Bonnie! Don't go around trapping Elena in her house, just take the moonstone away. Idk if I like this whole working with Jeremy and Damon thing, it leads to bad life choices. Re: last week, I'd like to note that using Luka's powers without his permission was also very uncool though I am less bothered about that since he's been lying to her. -shrug- Biases, I have them.

+ That said, Luka, if you want to fall in love with Bonnie and angst and be like okay I'm sorry but it is time to get some truthtelling up in here I would be down with that. My approval levels for the Littlest Gilbert are higher than they were before but I am not invested enough to object to some competition.

+ Speaking of the Gilberts, that bit where he was hanging out on Elena's lap on the couch laughing was cute. I vote for more Gilbert sibling fun times! Probably I would like Jeremy better if most of his earlier interactions with his sister hadn't consisted of him being sullen or angry (see drugs and also vampire revelations fallout).

+ SOMEONE TELL JENNA WHAT'S GOING ON. I do not understand any of their choices on this matter. You're not protecting her! She can't keep herself safe if she doesn't know she's in danger! Do you know how much problems you could have pre-emptively shut down if you'd all warned Jenna and had her taking vervain? ALOT.

+ Rose why did you come back? D= I knew it would be death sentence if you returned! I knew it! Don't you understand, you are a ladypire, they don't generally fare well on this show. DDDDD= (To be fair most side characters don't fare well on TVD but the ladypire death rate has been especially high. Right now the only survivors are Caroline and Katherine and I have some concerns with regards to the latter)

+ Other things I knew, the Stefan/Katherine sexings in the preview would just be Katherine screwing with his dreams. CALLED IT WHAT. =D I knew Stefan wouldn't cheat on Elena! Would not happen, especially over the space of a single episode.

+ ALSO I LOVE TYLER LOCKWOOD. There. I said it. Look I know there was some douchery with Vicki first season but I am choosing to employ selective memory okay? Everything with him and Caroline this episode was aces, period.

+ SPEAKING OF CAROLINE. Caroline Forbes is the best. Caroline Forbes did not leave Tyler until she absolutely had to. Caroline Forbes does not let people go through excruciatingly painful transformations alone because Caroline Forbes is actually the best ever. Throw in a scene with Caroline and Bonnie next episode just so I can be sure they're okay and I will declare myself officially satisfied with all of TVD's choices relating to Caroline. (And I've said this before but it bears repeating: if Caroline dies I am blowing this popsicle stand. Seriously writers, don't even think about it)

+ Also hey guys let's talk about Elena Gilbert and how she solves all of their problems even when she is locked in her house. LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT. ♥ I love this girl so much, seriously. Hey TVD cast, perhaps you might reconsider this trend of trying to control her choices in light of her overwhelming competence? (I will admit that going off to surrender herself to Klaus last episode was not one of her brightest moments but that in no way justifies Damon Salvatore and his arm grabbing & threatening ways. STFD Damon, there are better ways to express concern)

+ Alaric got to be involved with the plot again! \o/ Hi buddy, it's been awhile.

+ I was surprised they didn't end on a cliffhanger but I'm certainly not complaining. If TVD wants to start ending all of its mid-season finales with joyful Stefan/Elena reunions I will absolutely support this choice. The OTP is reunited, all is well with the world, I can enter the hiatus with a sense of peace. :)

CAROLINE FORBES IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, AND I'M BLOWING THAT POPSICLE STAND WITH YOU IF SHE LEAVES.

Also, THIS to Jenna needing to know. WTFH IS WRONG WITH THEM? Had she known there were vampires out to massacre her family she PROBABLY wouldn't have let every single person who ever comes a-knocking into the house. GYAH.

IT WON'T EVEN BE A MATTER OF NEGOTIATION. CAROLINES DIES, Z OUT. CAUSE AND EFFECT. WE CAN FIND ANOTHER SHOW THAT KNOWS HOW TO TREAT ITS CHARACTERS RIGHT.

I don't know what they are thinking! Usually I can at least count on Elena to be sensible about things but somehow this has slipped her mind???? I couldn't believe it when they left her in the dark after Katherine compelled her to stab herself. Hi guys, do you know what the lesson of that episode was? THAT IF YOU'D TOLD JENNA ABOUT VAMPIRES SHE WOULD'VE VERVAINED UP AND NONE OF THAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED.
