Oh my God, I just spent today marathoning over half the first season of Code Geass. X_x That wasn't supposed to happen! I was just refreshing the soompi page for Sungkyunkwan Scandal for the five millionth time (I need subs so much, does the world not understand my need to see what happens to Cho Sun? And everybody else too but mostly Cho Sun) and I decided that hey, I'd just go watch an episode to distract myself from the waiting! And now it's 9:00 PM and I don't even know what to say because this show is extremely addictive crack that leaves me constantly torn between laughing at Lelouch and yelling at him.

Also episode 22, Scott on a cracker what was that. That was a CHEAP NARRATIVE MOVE. Just. The hell. I can't deal. I hate that they had him make Euphie a mass murderer by accident. Either commit to Lelouch being the kind of guy who will screw over anyone and everything in pursuit of his goal or don't. Don't give me this oh he made a joke about genocide and then had a Power Malfunction ridonkulousity. Also I am going to just have to continue to disagree with my brother on Kallen being the most awesome female character ever because yeah no. Not feeling it. I like Euphie though! Also C.C. who I ship the teeniest bit with Mao which is wrong and yet. SOMETIMES I LIKE UNHEALTHY DYSFUNCTION.

I'm probably not going to watch the second season for awhile because despite my obsessive marathoning today I am still not that super invested in the characters. I mean I like some of them! And Lelouch is often extremely hilarious! Actually many moments in this show are hilarious because it is so over the top all the time. I mean this is the show with an episode in which Mao was going to cut off C.C's limbs with a chainsaw so he could pack her into a suitcase to take on a plane. I am neither kidding nor exaggerating in the least.

Instead I think I will just spend the rest of my evening rewatching this a couple dozen times.

THEY ARE KISSING IN THE WOODS AND I THINK THEY MAY HAVE BEEN ON A PICNIC. I APOLOGIZE NOW BECAUSE I AM NOT GOING TO BE AVAILABLE FOR ANY MEANINGFUL INTERACTION THIS EVENING THAT DOES NOT CONSIST OF POINTING AND SQUEEING OVER THEIR FACES.

LELOUCH. -hands- Part of me is irritated with the show because I don't actually think playing along with your oppressors is the way to achieve freedom! But they make him be the spokesperson for that side and umm no. I do not want my feelings represented by Lelouch. >l I spent some time being like Suzaku I like you better! It is a pity you believe collaboration is a thing that works.

But then something ridiculous happens and I'm like haha this is not a show that should merit this much thought or investment.
