I am so excited about my intro to world religions course, oh my gosh. -twirls- My textbooks just came in from Amazon yesterday, they look totally awesome. Can it be September now?

Also I really really want to take the Japanese Culture and Film course except. Except it's nine credits which on top of being expensive might be overloading myself for next year. But they read Banana Yoshimoto and Haruki Murakami and the biggest complaint people seem to have on the prof on ratemyteacher is that he expects the class to lead the discussion too much and marks hard which. With a good class the first shouldn't be a problem and pfft. I CAN HANDLE YOUR MARKING SIR, BRING IT. -poses- So I guess I will have to decide something about that! Preferably soonish.

What song are you currently addicted to?
I'm currently in one of my off phases with music so I'm not really obsessive over anything! But Chris Garneau's 'Between the Bars' keeps popping up in my head.

What's your favorite season?
Spring is so great. Like I want to say summer because it's vacation and there's my birthday but omg, spring. I love the smell of spring, I love the green and the grass and the flowers and how sometimes it rains and the world looks brand new. Spring is gorgeous.

What's the latest movie you watched?
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Really great visuals even if the plot was standard.

What is the one skill you wish you had?
I'm like

hmsharmony, I desperately wish I had better language skills. I would settle for being able to speak French! Nine years, you think that would be enough to gain fluency but no. ;_; I wish so much I had a head for languages.

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Merlin is true forever love. And Vampire Diaries, I am so excited for the new season. Have you seen the new trailer? Bonnie has lines in it! And is being grabbed by the throat by Katherine but I am confident my girl will find a way out of the situation. Because she is brilliant and she will protect her own against vampires. ♥♥♥ September can't come fast enough.

Also my love for anime is slowly being revitalized but I am not talking about it because I don't want to jinx myself, it is a fragile thing.

What's your favorite board game?
Monopoly! It's also the only board game I own but I'm sure it'd still be great even if it had competition.

What web sites do you always visit when you go online?
Hotmail, LJ, Brampton library, all the blogs I lurk on (I wouldn't be a very good lurker if I revealed my presence by saying which ones now right? ;)).

What was the last thing you bought?
My textbooks. My textbooks which contains shiny nuggets of awesome such as Lee W. Bailey's An Anthology of Living Religions and Willard G. Oxtoby's A Concise Introduction to World Religions. -thumbs up- I've never gotten to take an actual course on religions before and judging by just the books it's going to be brilliant.

If you win 10,000 bucks today, what would you do with it?
Savings, savings, savings, and then use it later to pay for grad school (am stealing your answer

hmsharmony because I wouldn't do any different). If I manage to cover school expenses on my own with scholarships or somesuch I'd put it towards Hajj funds for the family. I am absolutely going with my mom, dad, and brother someday when we have enough money.

Last concert you went to?
I don't even know, the Native Deen concert at Canada Wonderland last year? I don't go to concerts much.

What could be one of the best things to happen to you right now?
To just KNOW without a single doubt what I want to do with my life. (stealing again!) Any sense of purpose or direction would be brilliant right about now. There's really got to be a better way of dealing with anxiety about not knowing what I want to do than ignoring it and hoping something miraculously comes to me.

What's the last thing that made you happy?
Last night we had lots of family over for iftar and I introduced Sumayah and Dahab to Doctor Who and it was great. =DDD Dahab wasn't sure if she wanted to keep going because she scares easily (very easily! This has been true since she was very little, she used to cover her ears or leave the room when we told ghost stories) and The Eleventh Hour does have its scary bits but I assured her that the Doctor always saves the day in the end and also she could cover her eyes during the creepier bits. And yes, I definitely warned her about the Weeping Angels episodes. Sumayah was all for plunging forward so I gave them a DVD with the first eleven episodes and I look forward to talking to them about it the next time they come over. =DDD
