Also! You know what I learned at the Writers Conference? There is a college in Vermont that will give you a specialized Fine Arts degree in teen literature! In fact, by the time you graduate you will have been required to read 50 YA novels. This would be my dream degree, seriously. I would go to class and be all floaty and say insane things like 'Oh is that our homework right there? Please sir, may I have some more?' (I'd say a la the Oliver Twist accent. Just as a general note). And then I would go home and have wild insane homework doing times.
I wonder if there are any colleges/universites with this sort of idea in Canada? I think it would be brilliant and if I could kill the little voice in my head which inquires about the practicality of such a degree I would be there in a flash.
