The more I watch the news, the more I think that if I want to go into politics what I really need is an economics degree. :/

I'm going to go search the Internet and see if I can find out why there's suddenly $700 less in my RESP. =/ My mom was mad when she found out. Wanted to withdraw all the money from the account but the bank people said that's not allowed. They also said since it's a family plan, she could always use all the money on me if my brother doesn't go to university. -_- As a note, we're both going. That didn't help.
Okay, so, I've been reading things and apparently it works like this. My mom puts the money in the RESP. This is a good idea because it stays tax free until I finish high school. The RESP people and my mom talk and they put the money into investments. They're supposed to be low risk stuff like bonds and such. I am guessing what happened is the value of all these investments went down then? I still don't understand why they won't let her take the money out.
Egh. I don't know. I am going to go do some scholarship research.
