-hyperventilating- Oh my God, oh my God, OH MY GOD. Okay, okay, I'm going to start this from the beginning.

So about a week or so ago I heard about this internship available at Earth Day Canada. It's 7 hours/4 days a week and at the end they give you an honorarium of $2500. I applied.

And now they called me up for an interview and I did an absolutely amazing job of acting like a complete spaz. >_> See this is how it started. My brother picked up the phone and told me it was for me (with no warning of who it was, I may add, for which I will curse him eternally). So I pick up the upstairs phone which promptly falls off the table. And then I shrieked into the phone because 'Gah! phone just fell didIbreakit?IhopeIdidn'tbreakit!' Great way to start things off. Scream into the person's ears. X_x

I then managed to fumble my way through the conversation, eternal shame ringing in my ears (which happens to sound EXACTLY like me screaming only there's words and they go along the lines of 'ARGH you absolute idiot'). Asked if I could call back about the interview since I needed to check in with my mom about the ride.

Checked in with my mom, who said, sure tell them 10:00 Thursday (they gave me three options: 10 AM, 2 PM, 3 PM). So I did.

And then I realized I had my Extended Essay course on Thursday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Commenced with cursing myself roundly followed by calls to my mom and the interviewer to switch the interview to 2 PM.

I don't think I could've came off less intelligent if I TRIED. T_T

I'm attempting to console myself with the thought that their opinion of me can only improve at this point. I'm also racking my brains with what the hell I can bring to the interview to show off. X_x I haven't done anything impressive! The only thing impressive about me is my ability to babble non-stop when I'm nervous and I don't want to have to employ that tactic!

I brought all the stuff they piled on me from tutoring (I got these little thank you letter/recommendation things from the Malton community and the house of commons and somewhere else too - probably something to do with national government of Canada, I remember staring at all the stuff and kind of going whoa why do they care so much? 0_o Not that I mind or anything) and my Earthcore folder. Also brought my film camp certificate purely by accident.

But actually it didn't really matter because they didn't ask and I was kinda ehh why bother, talking seems to be doing just fine. They said they'll let me know if I got the job by Sunday.

Ooh crusades. What happened to psychology of Hitler?

Also I dunno yet, Physics is eating my brain. X_x I have two lessons to go through before tomorrow. Thankfully the EJournal due date got pushed down or I'd have five.

Nah they just awarded letters to the tutors which were all thank you for your service to the Ontario community. Told you it was an overly big deal. xD

True. Although you'll lose marks if you go too much into the religion aspect. They sort of hammered it at us that you better make sure your essay doesn't go interdisciplinary on you.

I already know I absolutely can not do Hitler or Stalin. xD Mrs.Snyder made it clear she refuses to mark another Stalin essay and I want her for my mentor. First day of school I'm totally going to come in with a folder and outline and the subject requirements printed out. xD

Also they're giving is U of T library cards! -spazzes- I totally know why I joined IB now, some little magical part of me must have known this was going to happen. =DDD

Yeah, online physics, didn't I mention it? :/ It's okay but they want us to spend so much time on it each day. T^T

=O I'd ask when you got so into politics but I suspect it's been there all along, lurking under the surface. Possibly Stephen Harper's 'pretty eyes' has something to do with it (also hey is it you or Finni who thinks that, I can never remember).

I was interested in politics back when my dad subscribed to Maclean's. Now I'm cut off from my source. D= And don't say I could watch the news, I barely even watch sitcoms.

You'd seriously do that? =DDD I totally had the same Harry Potter idea but I was almost 95% sure they'd shoot it down. It would be so awesome though to write something that'd be fun.

Honestly, I think it would be the most fun ever to analyze themes in children's literature. Seriously, I really want an essay that I'd have fun writing. :(

...Do you think they'd let me do the Narnia books? They're classics and they have semi-deep themes! They should totally let me do them!

From what I heard someone honestly did an essay on nursery rhymes so I see no reason why not. I think I'll get together a list of all my favourite books as a kid and read them through for themes.

To Narnia? Nah, it's just one of my automatic things when I think books I have loved. xD Though, y'know there's sort of a link there when you think of all the Christian symbolism and such.

Constantine I or Caesar? I thought Constantine because I was all like hey he's the dude who made Christianity big because he won a battle! That's cool. =O And then Caesar emerged from the brainstorming thing they made us do for a few minutes in class.
