DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD= On the one hand I am mildly pleased that the writers seem to be aware of just how much misogyny they've written into Damon's character? (they are aware right? No one could write the line 'you know how I get when I'm angry' and not see how much that's a narrative of domestic abuse) On the other hand OH MY GOD NO WHY DO I HAVE TO WATCH THIS WHY DAMON GTFO MY SCREEN.

Is this show any good? I have developed a slight fear toward vampire shows/books recently and worry.

Yes but with the caveat that it tends to romanticize a character who's acted in ways that are controlling, misogynistic, and generally rage inducing. I liked Damon first season but now I really just want him to die in all the fires. >_> Also sometimes it has trouble balancing multiple character plot lines to the extent that ostensibly main cast characters will disappear for multiple episodes at a time and have their character development occur off screen (*cough*BonnieBennett*cough*). But otherwise it's quite good! I think it's a better vampire show than True Blood and Twilight if that's at all helpful.

Man it's too bad you didn't ask me this first season because than I would've been burbling over with love for the show. But like I said it's had some problems this season so I can only recommend it with warnings now.
