+Were their adults in this episode? I have like some nightmare floating in my head of Murphy attempting really blatant emotional manipulation with a hospital of cancer patients. Nahh, totally didn’t happen. /selective memory

+ Welcome back dork!Sam! I missed you. =D Haters can sit down, I love that he actually thinks imitating Bieber is a cool thing to do.

+ Mildly intrigued by the idea of Sam/Santana. Spoilers assure me Murph will stop pretending Brittany/Santana doesn’t exist soon so I’m back to happily shipping her with everyone without feeling resentful. This includes certain Wes/Santana feelings I may have had after last week’s episode.

+ I love everything Puck and Lauren choose to be. =D Kind of getting nervous actually, how is Glee doing this right? Glee doesn’t do ships well!

+ Speaking of which, Lauren Zizes is the light of my life. ♥_♥ I just need her to continue being amazing always.

+ I was kind of okay with the Finn/Quinn at the end of the Superbowl ep? But now I have resolved to ignore them until their character assassination ceases. They can hang out with the adults in all other the bits of Glee I’ve decided don’t exist.

+ Shipping Rachel/Mercedes so hard right now. Like within seconds when I realized what song they were singing. =D Is it dumb that I was kind of hoping they’d make out when they finished? Yes, because I should know what show this is.

+ ANGRY BIRDS. ♥_♥ Still here, shipping Mike/Tina always. Deeply in denial regarding possible break-ups. NUH UH NEVER HAPPENING.

+ What was up with the baby powder in that second Bieber song?

+ Sue Sylvester likes My Chemical Romance. Just putting that out there.

+ BOO, no Vocal Adrenaline in Regionals? I WANT MY SOULLESS AUTOMATONS BACK. =( I don’t even remember who Aural Intensity are. Were they that group of old folks? I could maybe be down with that, I liked them.

+ So excited for next week omg. Drunken makeouts! Blaine joining the ND gang! Bieste in a cowboy hat!

YESSSSS! I'm a Finn/Rachel shipper, but it's not like I was going to start protesting the show if they decided to start up F/Q again. But they way they are going about it is SUCH a disservice to their characters I can't even ... FINN IS ACTING LIKE SUCH AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE. I'm not as upset about Quinn, tbh. She hasn't been TOO horrible. But Finn? AHSDL:AJSKD. Dead.

Every time I see Finn now I have the dual reaction of a) ugh go away you hypocritical asshat and b) man even Finn doesn't deserve this kind of writing, this is like second half season one Will Schuester levels of douchedom. Like is this a on purpose thing or do they just have epic blinders on? I don't know, I don't care, I just want it to stop.

I miss when Quinn had storylines about her. Yeah the pregnancy thing didn't show her off to her best advantage but hey, at least it wasn't entirely about who the show shipped her with. BRING QUIIN FABRAY BACK.

I have warmed up to Lauren SO MUCH. SO MUCH. She pissed me off when she was first introduced (well, not her but how it seemed like the writers handled/were going to handle her...this is 99.9% of the time my issue with female characters, but that's neither here nor there) but OMG I LOVE HER. I love her, I love her, I love her.

The whole time Mercedes and Rachel were doing Take Me Or Leave Me I wondered if they'd edit it at all because HELLO that song screams LESBIANS (or, in any case, QUEER LADIES) and it seems like TPTB want to completely ignore female sexuality that isn't revolving around men. (Yep, still bitter about Brittany/Santana getting ignored but OH DANG they're coming back????)

I was worried too! Glee doesn't have the best track record with...well anything really. I figured it would just be offensive fat jokes for me to rage over. Or the sexless thing they have going on with Mercedes (because fat girls are doomed to be alone always! Man screw you Glee) But then they surprised me by having her be amazing. KEEP IT UP SHOW.

Apparently Murphy said something about addressing them again in a few episodes! I mean his statements aren't always 100% trustworthy but I'm being optimistic here. I just want him to stop pretending they're not a ship already. (Did you notice Santana's little wave after Rachel sang the line about how she can't help it that boys and girls are always watching her? <3 Sometimes the reaction shots on this show are PERFECT.)

Yesss, Mercedes is such a double edged sword. On the one hand, she's my favourite female character on that show (besides Sue) because her ambitions aren't wrapped up in men. BUT then there's the whole "big girls can't be attractive" or even more troubling "hey, character of colour....yeah, no real romantic storylines for you!" (But then there's Santana and Tina, ok ok)

Nooooo I didn't see the little wave! I've got to go back and watch that again.

I like Mercedes but I hate what the show chooses to do with her. Namely nothing. :/ See Glee really does not care about its girls if they're not dating anyone. Occasionally it'll pay some lip service to the idea but actual screentime? No. And with Mercedes I'm bothered because I really feel like they frame her being single as a result of her not being desirable versus her having the option but being uninterested. I mean they go out of their way to make sure no one ever wants her. They did the Mercedes crushing on Kurt plot with obvs results and then even when they did Mercedes/Puck it was framed specifically as him dating her to raise his social status not because she's awesome. Add in the ridiculous tater tots episode and that is basically every plot Mercedes has ever had. (Plus that episode had Kurt being all 'Mercedes you are eating your feelings! Because you need a MAN' and then proceeded to not have her call him on it. No Kurt, you were being a bad friend that's why she was mad. I would be upset too if my BFF started neglecting me! And the show didn't even have the decency to actually do anything with the guy Kurt hooked her up with at the end. :/)

tl;dr Mercedes is fabulous but I have immense problems with the way the show treats her. It's lucky I have fandom to fix these things for me.
