I have NO idea who this author is, but YAY!!!!!!!!

I'd say, however, to NOT buy the book, simply because once you give in it's kind of the end -- suddenly EVERYTHING is an exception. :-\

Just the most excellent lady ever. =D She writes mostly children's and YA fantasy fiction but delves into adult from time to time (Deep Secret and A Sudden Wild Magic being two examples). She is one of my absolute favourite authors. If I don't understand something in a Diana Wynne Jones book I know it is simply because I have not been paying enough attention and should read it again because DWJ and plot holes do not belong in the same sentence. I've been reading (and rereading!) her since I was a tiny middle school child.

I will be strong! And revise my resume again.

Aw, I love authors like that! That's like me and my Noel Streatfeild obsession (though, sadly, Streatfeild died in the 80s, so no new books from her - still, when I find a book of hers that I don't own I go crazy happy like you ^^).
