Book recs!

Just read Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner. It has one of the most likeable female protaganists I've read in awhile. =D She's a headstrong little idiot but she's also really kind and I found myself pausing at times to just grin and declare how much I like young Helen of Sparta. I recommend this book a lot on the basis of lovely characterization.

Another recent book which I think everyone should read is The Nature of Jade by Deb Caletti. My favourite thing about this book was how the author wrote about everything. All the little stuff that goes on in every day life that rarely gets mentioned in fiction. I remember one part I really liked where she's chatting with this boy in a red coat that she's been wanting to talk to for a long time.

Anyways The Nature of Jade is in my top ten books I've read this year and I recommend it to absolutely everybody. You'll all love it, I promise.

Just applied for job at McDonalds. It was both surprisingly easy and not. 0_o Crossing my fingers they don't call my house. I'd rather break the news to my mom on my own time. Never, if I can manage it.
