Merlin 2x05 Beauty & The Beast: Part 1

- This is the first time I realized that the intro is a little ridiculous. Young boy? Srs? Come on dragon, give him a young man at least.

- =DDDDD The troll lady's dude's EARS. I think he must be a relative of Merlin's. Maybe even his long lost FATHER. Dum dum dah.

- =D I love that she gets 'I am a pretty lady' music. That's right, better RECOGNIZE.

- =D I notice that Morgana totally has a 'oh my lord, is she macking on UTHER?' face in the background of the Catrina entrance scene. I hope she and Arthur spend a lot of time going 0_o over the upcoming marriage together.

- OH MY GOD, LOOK AT ARTHUR's 'EEEUGH my dad is FLIRTING' FACE.

- Weeeeell. That's a cosy little set-up they've got there.

- Hmm. Both of the Pendragon men seem to prefer it when the lady comes on strong. I'm reminded a little of Arthur with Sophia - the way it was all her leading him around, her initiating a kiss. Course he was under a spell but even so.

- Huh. Well that goes a bit of a way to settling the Merlin age question; definitely much younger than Arthur. 18/19 seems appropriate.

- Uther seems to vacillate between CRAZYPANTSPARANOID!Uther and relatively rational 'please provide some evidence to back your statement' Uther depending on the needs of the episode. :/

- Umm who doubts you? From the summary I was expecting lots of Arthur (and hoped for Morgana) going D= over Uther in love with a side of ick. I see none of that. Only 'doubter' is Gaius. No one else seems to care.

- Arthur laughed! =D I love Bradley James' laughing face; I didn't think I'd get a chance to see it when he's in character. So there's one point for this episode.

- Gwen and Morgana should rescue him! It could be awesome; Morgana could have had a vision of Merlin and she used her powers and combined with his it's enough to knock down the wall and she brings Gwen along because SHE NEEDS TO KNOW; I need them to talk about this, okay, and it would be awesome! Do it show, do it! You haven't had them appear at all in this episode; it would be a great saving grace!

So UHH YEAH. Well it's not like I was expecting anything amazing out of the troll episode. Seriously though Merlin, your first two-parter and you waste it on THIS? Sometimes I really wonder what the screenwriters are thinking.
