I finished Tsubasa today

Okay, let's see if I can get this straight. We have clone!Syaoran and clone!Sakura for the first half of the series until the clone reveal and then clone!Syaoran lost his soul or something and went evil. Original!Syaoran was floating in a vat somewhere and he got out and he travelled with everyone for awhile. After a bit we find out that clone!Sakura is a clone and original!Sakura is possibly floating in water underneath Tokyo somewhere. I think.

Then there's all the stuff with Fai's angsty past and then him nearly dying and then him becoming a vampire and Kurogane making some sort of sacrifice to keep him alive (maybe his arm? Or something? Fai has to drink his blood, I remember that)

Also Watanauki and Syaoran are the same person for reasons which may have been explained but I can't remember. Let's just say they're brothers, it's easier.

So stuff happens and eventually we got to the big bad final battle in frozen!Tokyo and both clone and original Sakura and Syaoran are present. And now as far as I can make out clone!Sakura and clone!Syaoran are original!Syaoran's parents? And they trapped themselves in a glass bottle for a really long time to make sure original!Syaoran could make his own choices and all the worlds wouldn't be destroyed. Only Fei Wang doesn't want that because he wants to destroy all the rules of reality so he can bring Yuuko back to life and prove that he's a greater sorcerer than Clow.

And there's a time loop or something because clone!Sakura and clone!Syaoran are always destined to have original!Syaoran and he always goes on his journey to find Sakura's feathers -- wait if we started with clone!Sakura does that mean original!Syaoran was in love with his mother for awhile? WTF CLAMP? -- and they always end up in frozen!Tokyo going back to clone!parents again. And the clones decide they want to break that cycle even if they die so they all go into the glass bottle and then clone!Sakura and original!Sakura use their dimension crossing powers to rewrite reality and the clones disappear. And for this to work out original!Syaoran and Watanuki each have to pay a price and Watanuki's is to stay confined in the shop and Syaoran's is never to stay in one place for too long. So once the universe is rewritten original!Syaoran has to go journeying through worlds with Kurogane and Fai again. Only this time Sakura can't come with them because she has a prophetic dream that will cause everyone pain and dreams are important business in Tsubasa verse okay?

In conclusion: I am going to reread Cardcaptor Sakura which makes a billion times more sense then this whole thing. CLAMP really dropped the ball on this series. S_S
