Feeding off tears. I don't know how they do it but they do, it's the only explanation that makes sense. I can't think of the last drama I watched that didn't have at least some nugget of misery tucked in even with a happy ending. I have a friend who basically refuses to watch any dramas but rom coms period and I totally get her feelings now.
Though I don't know who I'm kidding, half the stuff I've got on my laptop are Korean period dramas. I am going to cry and cry again and STILL keep going back for more.
