Quick breakdown of things that are making me happy at the moment

1. My uncle is visiting! For a day but whatever.

2. Coffee Prince. Han Kyul and Eun Chan I LOVE YOUUUUU.

3. Zhang Ziyi and her quest for FREEDOM.

3b. Wuxia.

3c. The way I kept thinking Jiāolóng reminded me a little of a young Anakin Skywalker pre Darth Vader style evil. (P.S. JEN? Subbers that doesn't even sound CLOSE to her name, what)

4. The Circle of Scholars dinner. =DDD I'm going to go and sit and be awkward with people I don't know and it'll be GREAT.

4b. Also free food.

4c. Also by awkward I mean I will sit and be quiet until I can no longer stand the silence and search around desperately for a conversation topic which everyone might relate to (Soooo how do you feel about water? I LIKE IT)

4d. No really though, it'll be awesome, I'll make sure of it.

5. Searching for a job. :/ Well okay that's not really making me happy at the moment but hopefully by putting it on this list I will associate it with awesome things like Zhang Ziyi and like it better.

I am going back to school tomorrow. It is sort of sad to see my vacation ending but oh well! Nice while it lasted. I'm going to try and get at least my poli sci paper done this week so I can go and see The Lightning Thief with thatdayismine with a free conscience (it feels so weird to type that in, I am still inclined to say fabien_aybara. I WILL GET USED TO IT).

I've been reading Fables Volume 14: The Dark Ages. Something about it is bugging me but I haven't managed to pinpoint what just yet. :/ I don't know guys, any of you know that feeling you get when you read a book by someone with very different ideological beliefs from you and it's like 'gahh, his politics, get them off me'? I've run into that with Fables before -- the Arabian Nights storyline kind of made me go 'ick racism, Bill Willingham I LIKE the Thousand and One Nights stories, don't use their characters if you're going to be a jerk about it' and I had some issues with the war against the Adversary storyline as well. Not sure what's giving me the ick feeling right now though. Anyone else on the flist read this series?
