I ask thee all for aid

I feel bored and I haven't written anything in a long time. So I would like to ask a favour of my f-list. Post a comment with a title or sentence for me to use in a story. I shall write said story and post it here (Warning: my definition of story is a very... broad thing).

Also, while I'm asking for writing help could you comment on your favourite period of history (any country). I'm supposed to write a historical short story ffor my personal project but I CANNOT decide upon a setting. Help would be greatly appreciated.
