Ovally-rectangle I think? It looks like what a USB port would look like if a USB port was tiny and camera sized. There's another circle style hole in the camera but I'm pretty sure that one's for recharging. xD I'm kind of technologically inept with my camera, all I know is I press the button and take pictures. And pressing the button with the lightning bolt messes with the flash.
